Peck Avenue Meeting
Next Monday, the city will hold a community meeting from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. to discuss the Peck Avenue Improvement Project, which is expected to begin in late June. The project will enhance Peck Avenue from Manhattan Beach Boulevard to Artesia Boulevard, where the pavement has deteriorated and tree roots have displaced the asphalt.
General contractor All American Asphalt anticipates starting construction as early as June 29, with the work estimated to last about eight weeks.
Residents in the construction area will be given at least 72 hours advance notification of work. In order to assure completion of the project on schedule, the contractor will work weekdays from 7:30 a.m. to 5p.m. Parking restriction and street closure signs will be posted 72 hours in advance.
City staff and the inspection team will be on hand at the meeting to answer any questions.
